So here is the photo. Me (well part of me) wearing my favourite 1960s Selby black patent shoes with sweet vintage 1980s Mary Quant signature tights.  In 1983 Mary Quants collection of tights, leg warmers, socks and leotards began in Japan. I have the tights available for sale,  $20 a pair at my Vintage Space facebook shop.

Next Vintage Market

Here is my next gig. The Claremont Polka Dot Vintage Market. 28th and 29th April 2012. This is a large event with the finest vintage sellers in Perth attending. The organisers are  professional and lovely to deal with. I do enjoy working with everyone at this event, sellers and buyers included.

If you live in Perth and love vintage or retro this is the perfect place to be. The Vintage Market is part of the Claremont Showground Fairs (3 in 1 markets).  There is also the Antique, Collectors and Craft markets, all for one entry price.  Treasures galore.

Vintage Market

After a lovely break since November 2011, I am to enter back into the vintage market scene. I am ever so pleased as I get to dress up in my vintage finery, socialise with like minded people and buy and sell fabulous vintage treasures.

Last week I scored these two items from the local second hand St Vinnies store. A bamboo mannequin form and pin up board lined with hessian. They were having a half price sale, I  paid $5 total for the two items.

I am always on the hunt for display pieces for my market stalls. I now avoid using my fragile vintage display mannequin heads, chalkware hands etc... due to damage control! Next job is to choose which vintage treasures will go to market. Stay tuned...
